Control Automation Solutions programmed the new production tanks onsite. To do this we had to take an older set of tanks out of the control system, temporarily setup one of the remaining tanks to have the functionality of the old tanks, then implement the new style of tanks and take out all the temporary changes.
The new production tanks allow the customer to be more flexible in their production schedule and bring the product in these tanks to more of the production units in the factory. New routing options were created in Simatic Batch so the recipes could be extended to use the new tanks, and create more paths to and from other equipment from the new product tanks.
